I'm reading now Crichton's "Pirate Latitudes", it came to brazilian only now... He created an caribbean island where part of the story takes place. It is called "Matanceros" and is located somewhere between the British Virgin Islands and Anguilla.

It was funny to see that he used again this name in one of Las Cinco Muertes, in The Lost World. I mean he used again in TLW because I believe he wrote Pirate Latitudes in the 80's, as mentioned in his novel Travels.
